Press Release 5th Annual AHPS Mega Competition
The Bachpan and AHPS group organized their Annual Interschool festival the 5th Annual AHPS Mega Competition for the session 2018-2019. The competition was as vibrant as a festival conducted from 4th October to 6th October in the premises of Gateway Institutions, Sonepat (Haryana). AHPS participants and also students from other schools of NCR competed in various faceoffs. Approximately, a 1000 students from all over the country participated in the three-day Mega event.
The star attraction of the event was the positive presence of our Chief Guest, Olympics Silver medallist, International Badminton celebrity and Padma Shree Awardee Ms. P.V Sindhu. Her simple charm was contagious. The winners and recipients were awarded by Ms. Sindhu. She addressed students and encouraged them by saying that consistent and focused efforts alone lead us to winning post. Every year Bachpan selects outstandingly talented students in different categories who have excelled in various fields in their district, city or state levels, and acknowledges them with “Born to Win” merits. The ‘Born to Win’ Awardees were also given awards and cash prizes by our Chief Guest.
The curtains raised on 4th October, welcoming everyone, with a lamp lighting ceremony for an auspicious start of the AHPS Mega Competition. The encouraging words of the CEO Mr. Ajay Gupta filled the auditorium with essence of earnestness and ardor. The Mega competition focused on all aspects of learning and growth ranging from academics, sports to fine arts. The highlights were quizzes from fields of science and G.K, English spellathon, drawing and painting, debates and speeches in both Hindi and English to various types of sports such as swimming, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, football and races also dancing and singing face-offs. The purpose of the competition was not only to make student team up against each other but to induce a sense of healthy competition and sportsmanship along with polishing their talents and abilities.
5th October began with high energy which lasted all day long. Children were seen actively engaged in quizzes, races, sports, dancing and singing. All the categories were judged and evaluated by academic experts and educationists. The evening was fun filled with a DJ program for added enjoyment.
Along with outstanding management and arrangement of events, the team of Bachpan and AHPS did their small bit of contribution to address environmental concerns. This year, instead of providing plastic or paper glasses for water and beverages, a sipper bottle was given as individual possession to all attendees. This thoughtful step was taken towards imbibing care for Mother Nature in young blooming hearts and budding citizens of the millennium.
The curtains came down on 6th October with the sermoning words of Mr. Ajay Gupta congratulating students and the organizing team. He thanked the crew of Gateway for their active companionship.
The AHPS Mega competition was overall a successful event. The house of Bachpan and AHPS believes and promises to live up to the expectations every year and be back with another mega event next year.
