“Swachhata Action Plan Programme” BY GATEWAY

A dynamic dream of the Present Prime Minister Sh. Narender Modi of our great nation. Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India has started awareness campaign “Swachhata Action Plan Programme” on a Pan India scale. The clear objective is to educate Hotel/Restaurant owners, employees, cab drivers, and housekeeping personnel etc. on importance of Hygiene and proper sanitation in promoting tourism to our nation at large and promoting business volumes for Hospitality establishment.
Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Noida an autonomous institute under Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India has been entrusted to facilitate this drive.
For conducting an awareness campaign in Murthal, Sonipat on 01st November, 2018 at Sheesh Mahal IITTM approached Gateway Institute of Hotel Management, Sonipat to hold this session for the stakeholders in this region.
Dr. Rajan Makkar, Director GIHM was the chief speaker, Mrs. Sunita Verma- HOD Housekeeping from GIHM joined the event as co-speaker and 11 students from 1st and 5th semester also participated as volunteers. The session went very well followed by lunch. The participants were distributed with some promotional goodies.
