Gateway International School celebrated 'Abhivyakti' - The Art of Expression

Gateway International School celebrated 'Abhivyakti' - The Art of Expression, it's Literary and Cultural Fest (2019-20) with a rare panache. It was an energetic, hectic two days choc-a-bloc with a variety of competitions. The cultural items consisted of vocal and instrumental music and in the literary category were a number of activities namely debates, declamations, elocutionis, essay writing, story writing, story weaving, spellathons and street plays in English and Hindi. The total number of items were a stupendous thirty four and a total of ten schools from all over the city participated in the fest. Considering that it was the first time GIS has hosted a festival in such a huge scale, it seems probable there would be a huge increase in participation of the various schools in the years to come. The judges for the various events comprised of artists, theatre people, musicians and literature experts from Delhi. On this occasion an SDG laboratory has also been set up in the school to turn the impressionable minds of today's youth towards sustainable development goals as is the need of the times. Another venture which was started today was the link up of the school with the Africa Asia Youth Federation wherein our students were able to interact with their counterparts in Zimbabwe.
