“GIET ORGANIZED EDUCATIONAL EXCURSIONâ€.
Training & Placement Department of GIET organized Educational excursion to visit Delhi Jal Board, Water Treatment Plant at Wazirabad for B.tech Civil Engineering students under the supervision of Assistant Professor Mr. Sukrit Jain & Mr. Vishal Rohilla on 12th Feb 2019.
The main aim was to make the students aware of the water treatment process and environmental issues.It was an adventurous and exhilarating experience in which the budding scientists got a chance to get themselves acquainted to the practical knowledge of different stages of water purification.
The officials at the water treatment plant explained the diggerent stages in detail which broadly included
- Raw water input from various sources like Yamuna, Bhakhra storage & Groundwater
- Aeration
- Pre-Chlorination
- Post Chlorination
- Storage and supply to city
