GCAD – V^th Convocation, 2019.

Gateway College of Architecture and Design,Sonepat’sV^th convocation was held on Saturday, 30^th March 2019. The venue wasEkam Hall in the Gateway Campus.

The Chief Guest for the Convocation was the Hon’bleVice Chancellor of DCRUST Murthal, Prof (DR) Rajendra Kumar Anayath along with the Guest of Honor Ar. Shri Ashok Lall. Also in attendance were other dignitaries from the Institute, Our Chairman, Mr. H.P. Mangla, ExecutiveChairman, Mr. RakeshAggrawal, Our Principal, Prof. Anurag Roy and Prof. RadhikaNagpal.

This year a total of 120 students graduated for the Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

The Convocation began with an academic procession followed by offering flowers to Mata Saraswati by the guests and dignitaries.

After the principal declared the convocationopen and welcomed everyone for the prestigious ceremony, the gathering was addressed by the Guest of Honor Ar. Ashok B. Lall. Ar. Lall illuminated the students with his words of wisdom. Playing a role of an eminent architect-planner and conservationist he shared his knowledge and experiences with the students. His speech was followed by the address of the Chief Guest, Prof. (DR.) Rajendra Kumar Anayath. Prof.Anayath talked about the duties of an architect, he also focused on the need of sustainable development. In their brief and captivating address they inspired the graduands, students and faculty of the Institute.

The principal, Prof. Anurag Roy took charge of presenting the degrees. The graduands were awarded their degrees by the Chief Guest followed by the pledge administered by Prof. Ratindra Bhattacharya.The students were enthralled with the rousing speeches and the received degrees.

The Convocation ended with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. RadhikaNagpalfollowed by the National Anthem after which the academic procession left the premises.
