ABOUT THE EXPERT
Dr. H.G. Parsa (Ph.D., FMP, CHIA) Barron Hilton Distinguished Chair Professor, University of Denver. He serves on the editorial boards of several academic journals. Recently he published a book titled Sustainability in Hospitality-Tourism, one of the first on this topic in hospitality. He has over 20 years of teaching experience with over 250 papers / presentations to his credit and several books and book chapters. He has presented papers nationally and internationally in about 20 countries. He is the founding member of Revenue Management Special Interest Group, and Co-Chair, International Conference in Revenue Management and Analytics held in Denver, Colorado, USA in 2018. He travels to India frequently teaching revenue management to hotel managers, hospitality teachers and students.
He won numerous academic awards including John Wiley & Sons Lifetime Research Achievement award from the International CHRIE; President's Award for Excellence in Research and Creativity presented by the State University of New York College – Buffalo; Best Case Research Award at International CHRIE; Michael D. Olsen Award for research and mentoring graduate students; Best Published Paper Awards (two times) at the International CHRIE and also at the Euro-CHRIE; John Wiley & Sons Teaching Innovation Award and Bradford Wiley Excellence in Research Award in 2006 and 2000; Faculty of the Year award three times from two major universities; Educator of the Year for Ohio -2007 by the Ohio Restaurant Association. He was nominated/ won Best Paper awards 12 times.
