GCAD CELEBRATED THE 73rd REPUBLIC DAY

Gateway College of Architecture and Design celebrated the 73rd Republic Day, today, the 26th January 2022. All faculty and staff members and many students and their families participated.

Welcoming the participants, the Principal, Prof. Anurag Roy, stressed our role and responsibilities to ensure our sincere commitment to the growth of the Country. Paying homage to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country, he stressed that the sacrifices of our freedom fighters should not go in vain. Our sincerity in ensuring the Purn Swaraj to ensure ach peace and unity among the Diversities will build a strong Nation. Prof Radhika Nagpal, Vice-principal also emphasized the importance of maintaining Unity among the large diversities of our Nation.

Prof. Bhattacharya explained the role and importance of the Republic Day parade, particularly the concepts of state tableaus. His presentation was interesting and evolved around the Design development of tableaus.

Prof Neeraj Kumar took this opportunity to explain the relevance of the Republic Day celebrations with historical facts and developments in much detail, which was very informative.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal and the playing of the National Anthem as a mark of respect.
