Application form for the Super 20 Scholarship

Need of including Such Scholarship:

As per past experiences, a substantial number of parents and students have approached the admissions team to provide fee relaxation during the entire course as they are not financially strong enough to pay the fee. Moreover, such students are outstanding in academics or some other fields. To motivate such students, there is a need to offer such scholarships to aspiring students.

The total 20 scholarships will be granted every year to the students admitted in A.Y 2024-25. To avail this scholarship, the student has to apply online through our official website www.gateway.edu.in. The student has to fulfill all the terms and conditions mentioned below along with the supporting documents. The result will be announced within the week from the date of the interview.

First Year or LEET Entry Students

Eligibility: Students must have minimum 75% marks in the last qualifying examination. The student shall be accessed on below mentioned parameters:

1.) Academic (25 Marks): Marks will be awarded based on the following criteria:

80-84.9 % 6 to 10 marks

2.) Extracurricular Activity (20 Marks): If a student has participated in any extracurricular activity like singing, dancing & games/sports, etc. in the last 3 years, then following marks will be awarded.

3.) Social Welfare Contribution (05 Marks): The students shall be assessed on his/her participation and contribution in activities organized by any registered NGOs, social welfare societies, and other social organizations.

4.) Personal Interview, Presentation, and Interpersonal skills (20 Marks): The student must prepare and present PPT before the committee on some pre-decided topic/area of their interest. The following criterias will be considered during presentation: (2.5 marks each)

  • Communication Skills
  • Presentation Skills

5.) Family’s Financial Background (10 Marks): To be decided by the committee after observing their financial background.

2nd Year and Onwards Students

Term and Conditions:

  • Any student of 2nd/4th/6th Semester of batch 2024 - 26/27/28 can apply for the 2nd and onwards year scholarship.
  • Students having minimum 70% marks in the last odd semester.
  • Students having a minimum 75% in the current semester.
  • The student shall be accessed on below mentioned parameters for the current academic year based on the supporting document like certificate/ letter of appreciation etc.

1.) Academic (15 Marks): Marks will be awarded based on the following criteria:

80 - 89.9 % 06 to 10 marks
70 - 79.9 % 01 to 05 marks

Note: 0.5 marks for every 1% increment.

2.) Extracurricular Activity (15 Marks): If a student has participated in any field like singing, dancing & sports, etc. at the district level, state level & national level, then following slab will be applicable:

6.) MOOC’s / Swayam Courses (10 Marks): The student shall be assessed based on his performance and participation in completing the Mooc’s/SWAYAM course or from other Online sources.

7.) Misdemeanor (05 Marks): During the previous academic session a student must not be indulged in any kind of misdemeanor and other interdisciplinary action(s) in the campus/hostel.

8.) Research & Publications (05 Marks): The student shall be assessed based on his performance and participation in conducting/organizing research activities under the concerned team or publication in any conference/ Journals under the guidance of any institute’s faculty member.

9.) Attendance & Behaviour (10 Marks): The student shall be assessed based on his performance, participation, and behavior in the class/departmental activities along with overall attendance in the current semester. e.g If any student attains 75% and more attendance in the current academic session.

Marks to Be Awarded = (Attendance % / 15) + As per observations of the committee member based on students behavior and participation

10.) Internal Internships (10 Marks): The student shall be assessed based on his level of participation/contribution and support to various departments/societies/clubs/student welfare cells/ academics cell /IIEC / EEM Cell/ R&D/HoD’s/others.

Note:

  • The student will get only one scholarship every year, whichever is maximum.
  • First the student has to clear all the dues of that year and then the scholarship amount will be released via cheque/DBT minus the amount of any scholarship already granted for that academic year.
  • Students admitted in Academic year 2024-25 can apply every year for this scholarship.
  • Scholarships offered in the first year will be valid for 1 year.
  • This scholarship is applicable only on the tuition fee part.
  • The scholarship in successive years is subject to fulfillment of the following terms and conditions:
    1. That the student has to clear the previous semester university examination in one go. i.e., if he/she gets even a single back/reappear in that semester then his next semester scholarship will be canceled. (* If his/her backlog is cleared in revaluation, then the scholarship will be revived. Till that time the student has to clear pending dues with eligible scholarship.)
    2. That if the student got caught in any in-disciplinary act or found breaking any rule and regulations stated/mentioned in the student information booklet, then his/her scholarship will stand canceled permanently.
    3. To claim the said scholarship, you have to apply for the said scholarship via “Need Based Scholarship Claim Form”. (Format available on website).
    4. That the student will get his/her scholarship cheque within15 days of submitting his/her duly filled application or will be adjusted in the next semester academic fee.
