29th National Under-17 Open & Girls Chess Championship 2018 at Gateway College of architecture

The 29th National Under-17 Open & Girls Chess Championship 2018 began from 3rd September in Gateway College of Architecture, Sonipat. It will see 200 young players participating, out of which 126 participants are girls. The Championship was inaugurated on Tuesday by Dr. G.P. Aggarwal of KalpRishi Healthways, who congratulated the young players. Further, the Vice President of Haryana Chess Association, Mr. Ajay Goyal announced that the team for World Youth Chess championship will also be selected based on the performance of the players in this event. The other dignitaries present on the occasion included Sanjeev Aggarwal, Devendra Parashar & Umesh Gautam. The championship will be concluded on 11th September.
