GCAD ORGANIZED AN ACADEMIC CASE STUDY VISIT

Case Study Visit | Architecture Design–VI (Senior Citizen Housing)

Gateway College of Architecture and Design organized an academic case study visit for students of *Architecture Design–VI (Senior Citizen Housing) to Saral Satya Legacy, Greater Noida—an active senior citizen living community.*

The visit offered students an opportunity to study real-life design responses for aging populations, focusing on accessibility, comfort, safety, community living, and inclusive design strategies. A key highlight of the visit was the interactive sessions with senior citizens, where students gained valuable insights into residents’ lived experiences and how architectural design directly influences their daily life, well-being, and independence.

Such experiential learning initiatives help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, encouraging students to approach design with empathy and user-centric thinking.
