GIET ORGANIZED AN AWARENESS PROGRAM ON DRUG DE-ADDICTION BY BRAHMA KUMARIS

Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) organized the Drug De- Addiction awareness program by Brahma Kumaris on March 29, 2023, in Bhaskar hall.

The program started at 2:00 pm with the welcome address by Ms. Mandvi Sharma. The dignitaries on the dias were BK pramod Behan and BK Sunita Behan, and Manish bhaiya who contributed to global environment well-being by planting more than two lakhs of plants in Sonipat. Was there to enlighten and spread awareness about drug de-addiction. Opening remarks and an introduction of the program were given by Executive Director Mr. Sahil Aggarwal, Gateway Education Society, and then the representatives were welcomed by Dr. Vinay Singhal, principal of GIET.

She suggested that this awareness needs to be inculcated in all colleges and the oath should be implemented as a daily routine during the morning prayers in colleges so that from this stage of life, they can be kept away from all addictions.

She also emphasized Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, which depicts the types of addiction, the need for de-addiction, and how Raja Yoga mediation can help in de-addiction. She then ended with the ill effects of tobacco consumption and how Rajyoga's lifestyle can help addicts get rid of the addiction easily.
