GIHM - Study cum Excursion trip to Jaipur and Udaipur
3rd to 6th October-Study cum Excursion trip to Jaipur and Udaipur.
Students of BHM 1st and 5th semester were together on this college trip. The trip offered them visits to some finest 5 star deluxe Hotels and Forts/Palaces converted into Hotels by Royal families.
To name some Patan Mahal,Patan.The subject of study was quite diverse from core Hotel operations to the rich architecture, beautiful landscaping the acquaintance of guest rooms, vegetable farming in the palace farms, facilities and amenities and also the history of the palace.
The subject of study became interesting for all as it offered understanding a fine mélanger of maintaining royal architecture of the palace with all modern comforts to make guest’s stay a great experience.
In Udaipur students were taken to Hotel The Lalit “Lakshmi Vilas Palace” situated on the shores of Lake “Fateh Sagar”. It was almost sunset time and everybody witnessed the picturesque scene of sunset from the lobby level front open courtyards of the palace.
The evening parade of guards was going on with musical band and trumpets. This is a regular evening feature to enhance and tickle resident guest’s experience at the palace hotel.
Then after students had an escorted tour of the property by Front Office Manager. It is worth mentioning to share the show around of Maharana suite@ tarrif 85000/- per night+taxes and Maharani suite 75000/- plus taxes. It was an amazing learning for 1st semester students to experience the luxury standards and products offered to the guests. Special feature was pillow menu of the hotel.
After property tour everybody got assembled in the conference room where company’s presentation was given to the group and finally Hotel’s General Manager addressed students with his great and meaningful thoughts.
Fun part began, the next morning with visit to lakes, boat rides Museums, city palace, Lake Pichaula the traditional markets and Sajjangarh fort. To summaries study component of the trip, one evening was dedicated to a healthy brain storming and thought sharing session and every student shared his/her experience on the subject in a suitable hotel space with conference setup and was a planned part of the itinerary.
In nutshell the tour was a great learning experience for all.
