Gateway College of Architecture and Design, Sonepat organized a guest lecture by Ar. Akansha Rastogi. She is a young professional exploring in the field of architecture and innovation. She did her graduation in architecture from NIT Hamirpur followed by Masters in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure Management from Amity University. Further, she has completed her M.S. in Mechanical System Engineering from the University of South Korea.

The lecture was based on Robotics in Architecture. She focused on the importance of computational Architecture for making abstract design forms which are difficult to design manually. Giving various examples of various projects of architects like Zaha Hadid and Norman Foster she explained the importance of architectural Robotics meaning integration of Robotics and Autonomous Technology in Architecture and Planning.

Her Presentation focused on following 4 major categories –

• Robotics in Architecture

• Architectural robotics

• Computation Design

• Teaching Architecture Robotics

The students were fascinated with the presentation and the use of technology in architecture. The lecture was followed by an interactive question-answer session. They were enthralled by the interaction and motivated to explore the application of technology in design.
