Computer Skills Program

Introduction

Gateway Institute of Engineering & Technology (GIET) is starting computer skill program for B. Tech, BCA, BBA and MBA students from this session (2021-2022) onwards. The basic aim of the course is to provide general to advance computer proficiency among the students. The course is divided into three levels (from basic knowledge of computer and MS-OFFICE to advance knowledge of Google documents and digital marketing). The details contents of all the levels are attached.

Course Objective

  • To enable the students to learn the basic fundamentals, principles and working in MS-Office
  • Familiarized with Google Family (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Meet and Google Chat) and other tools
  • To provide a solid understanding of social media and how it has changed over time
  • To the positive and negative influences of social media on individuals, businesses, and society as a whole
  • Discuss the overall impact of the social media outcasts have had on academics, professions, and society in general

Course Outcomes

After Completion of the LEVEL-1 course, the students will be able to:

  • Bridge the fundamental concepts of computers with their present level of computer knowledge
  • To get acquainted with MS OFFICE tools such as Word, Excel and Power point

After Completion of the LEVEL-2 course, the students will be able to:

  • Discover the capabilities of working in real time, share documents with others, edit and iterate their documents.
  • Understand basic and advance excel tools
  • Get the basic understanding of how to use Google documents, sheets and forms

After Completion of the LEVEL-3 course, the students will be able to:

  • Students will be able to create and design emerging media products, including blogs, digital audio, digital video, social media, digital photography, and multimedia.
  • Understand the concept of digital marketing platform and digital marketing tools
  • Learn to develop digital marketing plans

Registration fees for the course is below

  • For General Students & MBA: 1500/- per course
  • For Advantage Students: NIL

Terms & Conditions

  1. 1) Rs 500/- is processing fees and it is NON-REFUNDABLE & 1000/- will be refunded depending upon the class attendance of opted course.

  3. 2) If any student is register himself/herself for LEVEL-2 OR LEVEL-3 then he/she has to pass the assessment test for lower levels with 75% or above marks.
  4. 3) On the completion of the course assessment test will be conducted and Certificate will be issued to students getting 75% or above marks.
