Message from HOD

Dr. Gurminder Kaur is an accomplished academician with over 19 years of experience in higher education, currently serving as Head of the Department of Computer Applications at GIET, Sonepat. She holds a Ph.D. from Capital University, Jharkhand, and brings extensive expertise in academic leadership, departmental administration, curriculum design, and research development. Her areas of interest span Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cyber Security, and she has actively guided student research in AI, IoT, and emerging technologies. Dr. Kaur has authored and presented over 20 research papers in international journals and conferences, holds two design patents, and has contributed a book chapter to a Scopus-indexed publication on AI Ethics. As Convener of the International Conference on Computational Intelligence & Communication Technologies (CCICT), she has played a pivotal role in strengthening the institute's research and academic visibility. A recipient of the Best Teacher Award at BMIET, she is recognized for her commitment to student mentorship, faculty development, and fostering a culture of innovation and academic excellence.
