Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology celebrated Fresher’s party on 12th Nov 2019. Various cultural programs like group dance, solo dance, solo singing were performed by the students of the 1st Year and 2nd Year. The main attraction of the program was the ramp walk in which freshers dressed beautifully and handsomely and showed their talent on the stage. All students enjoyed the function a lot along with Faculties and the hard work put by the students in organizing this function was well appreciated.
Riya from BCA was announced as Miss Fresher and Sachin from the same branch were announced as Mr. Fresher.

GIET organized "Goodwill Day" on 20th January. It was organized to help the needy people at Gateway Education. On this occasion, clothes, electronic gadgets, and other useful items collected from staff members of Gateway Education and were distributed free of cost to help the needy people. Gateway engineering students were also motivated to support this noble cause.

Collected items were kept on a stall in room no. B105, from where the people filled their slip and items were drawn through the slip system. This event is aimed to promote a sharing culture at Gateway and help us in building a harmonious environment for our family members.

CSE department of GIET organised a seminar on "programming skills" for the students of BCA and B.Tech CSE .The professionals from Grace Tech Solutions, Noida introduced the students with the latest & trending Programming skills in the fields of Web Site development, Data Science, Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligent.

Speaker Mr. Sunil Kumar, Senior Software Developer emphasized that by learning one or more of these languages, students would be in an excellent position not only for this year, but in the years to come.

CSE department of GIET organised a seminar on "THEORY OF AUTOMATA" in collaboration with BrainStorm Achievers from New Delhi on 29th,January,2020 in Bhaskar hall. Speaker for this seminar was Mr. Saroj Kumar Suman, Founder and Director of Brainstorm. Objective of this seminar was to make the students familiar with the concept of automatic machines. Students from Computer Science Department of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year participated in the seminar. Students learned about how theory of automata is used for designing automatic machines i.e., machine working without human intervention. These types of machines are used in super markets, malls, airports and railway stations. This seminar will definitely help the Engineering students to follow the correct learning curves and will also shorten the duration of learning and adopting new technologies through the behavioral nature of the understanding.

Civil department of GIET organised a seminar on "Traffic operations & Intelligent transport System" on 19th September ,2019. Mr. Sudhir Malik delivered an expert talk on the need of Intelligent transport system and its significance in improving the transportation system of India.

Students were also introduced to the new Traffic rules and regulations with the help of PPT's.

It was a nice session and was ended with a high note among both the faculties and students.

Civil Engineering Department of GIET organized a seminar on "WATER CONSERVATION & ITS TREATMENT". As we know, it is the need of the hour that our water resources needs to be conserved and providing pure water to the people is a humungus task in our country. In this seminar, faculties of the department share their knowledge and views to the students about the various techniques through which they can conserve water.Alongside with this, they were taught about the different processes of treatment of water used by the industries for its purification. It is important that students learn about the same and aware more and more in their neighbourhoods about the conservation of water along with its importance. At last , students were also motivated to work on some water resources projects which can lead them to a great opportunity.

A two day workshop on DIGITAL MARKETING was organized by Training & Placement cell of GIET with the collaboration of DIGITAL DRONACHARYA. DIGITAL DRONACHARYA or DD is an Online Courses & Tutoring platform which can give everyone, who is a learner, a greater insight into what they can learn in their life. The workshop covered various topics related to Social Media Marketing, Website Building and Search Engine Optimization(S.E.O.). The workshop consisted of different types of practical activities and how an individual can monetize through various social media platforms. Session was quite interactive and students learned a lot in the field of digital marketing which can lead them to better opportunities in their respective field.

A workshop on MATLAB was conducted in ECE deptt by Mr. Mohit Bansal. The objective of this two hours workshop was to make the students learn basic of MATLAB, Digital image processing tool box and wireless communication Toolbox.

Student learned all the content by performing live practicals on the software.
